Connect an AI assistant

Link ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant to your Patch CV account so it can look up your analyses, career profile and saved notes — and add new notes — while you chat.

Your Patch CV server address

You'll be asked to sign in to Patch CV and approve the connection the first time.

Set it up

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT settings → Apps (Advanced) and turn on Developer mode, reading the risk notice shown there. If you can't see it, ask a ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. Open the new plugin dialog .
  3. Enter the name “Patch CV” and paste the address above into the URL field.
  4. Review the details, tick “I understand and want to continue” (ChatGPT shows this for every custom connection), then click Create.
  5. Turn Patch CV on from the chat box, then ask ChatGPT to use it.

Claude

  1. Open the prefilled Claude connector dialog .
  2. Review the details and click Add.
  3. If the prefilled form doesn't open, go to Claude's Connectors page, choose “Add custom connector”, name it Patch CV and paste the address above.
  4. Enable the connector from the chat box, then ask Claude to use it.

Claude Code

  1. Run this one line in a terminal:
  2. Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm Patch CV is connected and sign in when prompted.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use Patch CV.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open the assistant's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. Create a new remote MCP server connection.
  3. Name it Patch CV and paste the address above.
  4. Finish the sign-in and approval prompts.
  5. Enable the connection, then ask the assistant to use Patch CV.

Refresh after we ship updates

Assistants remember what Patch CV could do when you connected. If something new is missing, refresh the connection.

ChatGPT

  1. Open the Plugins page and select Patch CV.
  2. Scroll to “Information” and click Refresh.
  3. ChatGPT can't change an existing address — if it changed, delete the app and set it up again with the address above.
  4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use Patch CV.

Claude

  1. Open the Connectors page and select Patch CV.
  2. Refresh or update the connector.
  3. Claude can't change an existing address — if it changed, remove the connector and add it again.
  4. Ask Claude to use Patch CV.

Claude Code

  1. Start a new Claude Code session — it picks up the latest on connect.
  2. If the address changed, run claude mcp remove patch-cv and run the install command again.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use Patch CV.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open the assistant's MCP server or connector settings.
  2. Select the Patch CV connection.
  3. Refresh, reload or reconnect it.
  4. If the address changed, paste the latest one from above.
  5. Start a new chat and ask the assistant to use Patch CV.
